In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to feel isolated in your spiritual journey. However, faith flourishes in community. Building meaningful connections is not only proven to be beneficial to your mental/emotional health, it is also essential to deepening your relationship with God. Here at Congregation of the Messiah, our church is built upon Christ's love, motivating us to care for and support each other in a community. Together let's learn to become our BEST: Belong, Encourage, Serve, Transform.
B - Belong: The first benefit of being part of a community is a sense of belonging. Romans 12:5 tells us, "In Christ, we form one body and every member belongs to all the others". There is more that happens when we come to faith than just accepting a truth. Those who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord, become a member of one family, and are thus brothers and sisters to each other. As one family, or body, we belong to one another and take on the responsibility of caring for each other. We each have a distinct purpose and should never use our abilities to harm one another. You wouldn't use your foot to step on your other foot, or your finger to gouge out your eye. Likewise, treat your brothers and sisters in Christ as members of the same body.
